Editorial
Greeks Inside can be a blog that concerns the Greeks who think about or wait for their departure for another country to work, study, or anything else. Its goal is to supply the best possible information and tips, regarding anything that has to do with a new beginning, especially if it is one that takes place far away from someone’s keens, many times while being alone among strangers. That is why we are all going to use the experiences of those who have already taken the big step.
This blog does not intend to create a schism among the Greeks that live inside Greece and those who have already left. On the contrary, it may concern more those already abroad by providing tips and solutions about problems they may be facing or simply to make every-day life a little easier. We can achieve this through the sharing of experiences, either from our team by publishing posts, or from our followers themselves through the blog’s social media.
“After all, Greeks Inside does not concern merely the Greeks inside or outside Greece, but anyone who feels a Greek Inside…”
After all, Greeks Inside does not concern merely the Greeks inside or outside Greece, but anyone who feels a Greek Inside. Those who live in Greece. Those who had just left and struggle to settle or have already settled abroad and have started a new life. Second or third generation Greeks and even those who are not Greeks by birth, but love Greece and the Greek way of life. All those may find something interesting in the posts of this blog. All may enjoy through these posts a taste from this small but amazing country.
The team
The editorial team of this blog is still small in numbers. Mina Pliakas, already a member of the Greek diaspora for some years now, left Greece for The Netherlands in searching of a better future, during the tough years of the financial crisis. Her experiences added to these of other Greeks she met and who live in Europe and the US, will be reported in the posts that will be published and can be something like a manual for anyone else to use.
Nicolas Marinellis, who also does the editing and the translation of the posts, (still) lives in Greece, although withdrawn from the big-city life, as a digital nomad. He will make the whole experience seem complete, with thoughts and posts that will invoke memories and will feed the flame of the need for a quick return home, no matter how short it may be.
Follow us and be part of a big group who loves Greece and its people and sees no borders between them.
